Cabsnoozer is the first in-cab hammock for truck drivers who lack a sleeper cab, designed to satisfy the need for a comfortable way to sleep during mandatory tachograph rest stops and extended periods of waiting.
The Cabsnoozer was conceived by a seasoned truck driver with over 35 years behind the wheel as the solution to the general fatigue and ‘heavy eye syndrome’ that results from driving long and often unsociable hours. Tired of trying to nap with feet on the dashboard, or curled up around the gear lever, the Cabsnoozer in-cab hammock is the perfect answer.
Cabsnoozer improves safety by providing a decent power nap to refresh the day-cab driver, and somewhere to get comfortable when stranded. Ideal as an emergency overnight bunk it also saves accommodation costs. (See customer review below). For less than the price of a dozen Starbucks it effectively converts a day-cab into a sleeper.
A new version of the Cabsnoozer, to fit inside day-vans is also now available. Ideal for tradespeople, surfers, mountain bikers, track days, fishing etc., and essential if you ever get stranded. Perfect for any van that hasn’t quite been converted into a full camper.
The Vansnoozer is easily installed in a few seconds using rubber chocks trapped in the doors, front and rear, see photo below.
Enter the van from the side door, and lock those supporting the hammock if there is any likelihood of someone attempting to open your vehicle from the outside while you are sleeping!
Kidsnoozer (right), is coming soon, and fits across the front of a camper or van.

Vansnoozer twin set up
The Cabsnoozer is a simple hammock which fits across the width of a truck cab, using a sewn-in beading trapped either over the tops of the doors or in the fully closed electric windows. Either method will support a driver over 25 stone in weight (tested to 29.5 stone without breaking). For US or EU customers that’s 417lbs, or 189 kilos.
Designed to allow fitting to almost any cab using width adjustments to suit all sizes. By repositioning the beading rod in a choice of sewn in slots, the Cabsnoozer will fit most cabs from 7.5 tonnes upwards. The Cabsnoozer is 61cm wide and 1950cm long.
The simple fact is, there is nowhere in a day-cab to stretch out and sleep in any degree of comfort, the best achievable being to try and lay across the seats, navigating the gear lever, handbrake, cup-holders, cubby boxes and other uncomfortable appendages in the way. The close proximity of the rear bulkhead prevents seats from being reclined, and the dashboard is too close to put feet up onto satisfactorily.
I really like it! I got a foam camping bed to lay on top, and I slept ten hours the first night! I usually sleep in hotels that are around $100 a night, so it paid for itself on day one! I try not to idle my truck, due to the DPF garbage, so I haven’t been able to use it lately. Waiting for better weather. Hard to sleep when it’s 15° F in the cab! Lol. That’s -9.44°C. Happy to help.
I will defiantly be interest in your new snoozers when they come available. Please keep me updated.
Spot on! Much more comfortable, and there’s something cathartic about relaxing in a hammock!
Excellent stuff, cheers
I think it’s a great product and wouldn’t think twice in recommending this to anyone. Great idea, well designed, well made and a great price. I like that new smell as well 🙂
Thanks again for the great invention!! Cheers

Yes, (this is the most frequently asked question). The windows need to be fully closed to trap the edge of the Cabsnoozer, and have been tested on a Euro 6 DAF LF to 29.5 stone without giving way. That’s 417lbs or 189 kilos.
The Cabsnoozer will comfortably accommodate drivers up to 25 stone or more, and has been tested to just under 30 stone. ( that’s 187 kilos or 410lb ) But it’s like sitting on a bicycle, there must be a limit, and common sense will provide it! If you weigh more than this I respectfully suggest you would have difficulty climbing into a Cabsnoozer anyway.
Yes it can do on a warm day, so the Cabsnoozer can be used over the top of the doors, or over one door and one window, so that you can open a window or two.
Tight. Put the rod in the slot that gives you the tightest closure you can manage as you will get the best rest with less of a dip.
Take your boots off if they are muddy and stand on the seat between the Cabsnoozer and the back wall of the cab. Roll into the Cabsnoozer, you’ll find it a natural movement, rather like getting into the top of a bunk bed. You won’t want to get out.
Open the windows first and hold the end of the Cabsnoozer with your arm through the window as you close the door with the other hand.
Wash off muddy boot marks with a sponge. I have put a Cabsnoozer (minus the poles) through a cold wash in the washing machine, in order to be able to say with confidence that it won’t damage either the Cabsnoozer or the machine. I’m not sure why you would want to do this, but you can!
Fold down the sun-visors and you will not be visible in the Cabsnoozer from outside the cab.
It will work in most cabs of 7.5 tonnes upwards to the biggest which is the Renault Magnum. Smaller vehicles may not have enough width inside to stretch out. A table on this website shows you which cabs and which adjustments will work. If you have an unusual truck or an old model not featured, we’d be pleased to have your contribution to this table.
